Software

RIP software and ICC colour profile tools that take ceramic print quality and productivity to the next level.

INEQS RIP software for ceramic printing

Print quality is not only the printer and the toner. Colour management and workflow control decide whether the second run matches the first.

INEQS software is developed specifically for digital ceramic printing. It improves colour accuracy after firing, production efficiency and print consistency, whether you produce photo ceramics, tableware, memorial portraits or industrial ceramic decals.

INEQS RIP Software

Written for ceramic toner rather than paper. Complete control of colour management, toner output and print production: ICC v4 profile creation, up to eight channels, density and linearisation control, white point optimisation, hot folders and multi-printer management. See the RIP software.

ICC colour profile service

Firing changes colour, so a standard printer profile cannot predict the fired result. INEQS builds custom profiles for your printer, toner set, decal paper and firing process, so what you approve on screen is what comes out of the kiln. See the ICC profile service.

What it changes

  • More accurate colours after firing
  • Improved print consistency
  • Better workflow management
  • Reduced toner consumption
  • Faster production setup
  • Professional colour control

Basic printing works without any of this. It starts paying as soon as you are matching colour to a customer proof, or running more than a few sheets a week.

Do you need colour management software?

  • No, if you print a few sheets a week, mostly your own designs, and judge colour by eye on fired tests
  • Yes, if customers send brand colours or photographs to match, if several people or printers produce the same design, or if you run more than one toner set

What colour management involves

Ceramic colour management follows the same steps as any print process, with one difference: the reference is the fired piece, not the paper print. The monitor is calibrated so the screen is reliable. A test chart is printed with your printer, toner set and decal paper, fired on your ware with your curve, and measured. From that measurement an ICC profile is built, and the RIP uses it to convert every file so that what you approve on screen is what comes out of the kiln.

Getting started

Most customers begin with a custom ICC profile built by INEQS for their setup, then add INEQS RIP Software when volume or colour demands grow. Training is included, because a profile only helps when the team applies it the same way every day.
