The IM C3000 as an SRA3 ceramic decal printer

SRA3 is the format most production decal work runs on. An SRA3 sheet measures 480 x 320 mm with a printable area of 470 x 305 mm, so one sheet holds a full plate decal, a section of a tile mural or a nested run of small decals for mugs and memorial plaques. The IM C3000 also prints A3+ (447 x 295 mm printable) and smaller formats down to A4, so short jobs do not waste paper. It sits in the middle of the INEQS SRA3 range, for decorators printing decals every week rather than every month.

Converted for ceramic toner, calibrated before delivery

A standard office laser printer cannot print ceramic decals. INEQS converts the IM C3000 for ceramic toner and decal paper: the fuser is set for ceramic toner, the paper path for decal stock, and an INEQS colour profile is loaded before the printer leaves Weinsheim. It ships with a starter toner set, a remote setup session and ICC profiles for your paper, so you can print saleable decals in the first week.

Toner sets for tile, porcelain, glass and enamel

The IM C3000 runs INEQS ceramic toner. Use an unfluxed set for in-glaze decoration on glazed tile, stoneware and porcelain, a fluxed set for onglaze porcelain and enamel, and glass toner for float and borosilicate glass. The developer unit is changed per toner family, so most production users dedicate the printer to one family and profile it once. Not sure which set your ware needs? Read fluxed vs unfluxed ceramic toner.

A production setup that keeps colour stable

For daily SRA3 production, keep the printer room at 20 to 25 °C and 40 to 60% relative humidity, store decal paper in the same room, and change developer on the schedule INEQS gives for the machine. Pair the printer with a laminator or screen printing machine for the covercoat and a programmable kiln that reaches your set’s range. INEQS supplies all of it, plus RIP software for colour management across runs.

IM C3000 or another SRA3 printer?

For lower volumes at the same image quality, the IM C2010 is the entry to A3. For the highest daily output, look at the CeramPrint CP-1000-4, built for up to 500 sheets a day, or the six colour CP-1000-6 for an extended fired gamut. Tell us your substrate, format and monthly volume and INEQS will recommend a configuration and send a fired sample.
