Why six colours matter in ceramic printing

A fired ceramic palette is narrower than an offset or inkjet palette, above all in reds, oranges and some greens, because ceramic pigments only develop their final colour in the kiln. A four colour ceramic printer mixes every shade from cyan, magenta, yellow and black. The CeramPrint CP-1000-6 adds two further colour channels, which extends the fired gamut: fewer compromises in skin tones, saturated brand colours and the subtle gradients of photographic work.

Built for work judged on colour

The CP-1000-6 is made for decorators whose customers look closely at colour: memorial portraits and photo ceramics, where skin tones decide the job, premium tableware ranges, and brand work that has to match a corporate colour. It combines that colour range with high productivity and consistent colour across long runs, so the last sheet of a job matches the first.

Colour management for six channels

Extra colour channels only pay off with colour management built for them. INEQS RIP Software drives up to eight colour channels, creates ICC v4 profiles and controls density and linearisation, and INEQS builds a custom ICC profile for your printer, toner set, decal paper and firing curve. What you approve on screen is then what comes out of the kiln.

Toner, paper and firing

The CP-1000-6 prints on INEQS decal paper up to SRA3 and runs INEQS ceramic toner for tile, porcelain, tableware, glass and enamel. The finished decal is coated, soaked, applied and fired like any other INEQS decal, with a firing curve supplied for every toner set. Ask which colour configuration suits your substrate before you order, because the toner family decides the firing temperature.

Delivered ready to print

Like every INEQS printer, the CP-1000-6 arrives converted, calibrated and profiled, with a starter toner set and a remote setup session. INEQS technical service covers it Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 CET, remotely or on site, and solves over 80% of problems within one working day. If six colours are more than your work needs, the four colour CP-1000-4 is built for high volume production at SRA3 and extra long formats.
