High volume decal production at SRA3 and beyond

The CP-1000-4 is built for decorators whose printer runs all day. At up to 500 sheets a day, it covers the output of a tile decorator, the decal department of a porcelain factory, or a print bureau supplying other studios. Standard formats are A3+ and SRA3 with a maximum print size of 305 x 600 mm, and the optional extra long (EL) configuration prints up to 305 x 1,000 mm.

What the extra long format opens up

Most ceramic printers stop at SRA3. With the EL option, one continuous decal reaches a metre, which suits long borders, wraparound decoration for tall vases and cylinders, and tile strips or panels that would otherwise be pieced together from several sheets. Fewer joins mean fewer alignment steps on the ware and a cleaner result after firing.

Four colours, the full INEQS toner range

The CP-1000-4 prints a CMYK set or a red set, using INEQS unfluxed toner for in-glaze decoration on tile, stoneware and porcelain, fluxed toner for onglaze porcelain and enamel, and glass toner for glass. For high volume work, dedicate the printer to one toner family, because the developer is changed per family and each change needs a new profile. See ceramic toner sets and how to fire ceramic decals.

Setting up a production line around it

  • Coating: at this output, lamination or screen printing is faster and cheaper per decal than spray.
  • Paper: INEQS decal paper in A3+ and SRA3, plus oversize sheets up to 320 x 600 mm.
  • Room: 20 to 25 °C and 40 to 60% relative humidity, stable around the clock.
  • Kiln: programmable, ventilated to about 420 °C during burnout, sized for your load.
  • Colour: a custom ICC profile and RIP software with hot folders for repeat jobs.

Service for machines that cannot stop

A production printer is only as good as the support behind it. INEQS engineers built the conversion and formulated the toner, so one team diagnoses the whole chain from file to kiln. Over 80% of problems are solved within one working day, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 CET, and production customers can arrange extended cover. Replacement developer units, drums and fusers are available for every INEQS printer model.
