Available colours include green, orange, cobalt blue and various shades of Cyan. We also do develop customised ceramic toner colours tailored to your requirements.
What single colour ceramic toner is for
A full CMYK set mixes every colour from four cartridges. A single colour ceramic toner does one job exactly: it prints one pigment at full strength, without the compromise of a mix. Studios and factories use single colours in three ways.
- Replacing one cartridge. When one colour runs out before the others, replace just that cartridge instead of a whole set.
- Spot colours. A logo, a border or a line pattern printed in one true pigment, such as cobalt blue or green, fires cleaner and more consistently than the same shade built from CMYK.
- Custom sets. Combine single colours into a set for a specific product line, or ask INEQS to develop a custom ceramic toner colour for your range.
Colours available
The unfluxed range includes green, orange, cobalt blue and several shades of cyan, alongside the cyan, magenta, yellow, black and ceramic red of the INEQS sets. A white fluxed toner is available for text, marks and barcodes. Colours outside the range can be developed to order.
Firing and coating
Single colours are unfluxed and fire in-glaze, at 860 to 1,150 °C depending on the colour, on glazed tile, stoneware and porcelain. Like every unfluxed toner, they need a fluxed covercoat before firing, which gives a glossy finish. To avoid a visible decal edge, cover the whole decoration area with the fluxed material or align the decal with an edge of the ware. See how to fire ceramic decals for curves and kiln setup.
Printers and ordering
Single colours run in every INEQS printer and in selected Ricoh, Canon and Xerox engines after INEQS conversion. Tell us the printer model and the colour. For a new custom colour, send a piece of the ware and the firing temperature, and INEQS prints, fires and returns a test before you order in volume.
