Why the MP C3004 is so widely used for ceramics
The Ricoh MP C3004 became a standard in ceramic decal printing for practical reasons: an SRA3 engine with stable colour, low running costs and a large installed base worldwide. INEQS supplies it as a used ceramic printer, converted for ceramic toner and decal paper and calibrated before delivery, which makes it a cost effective way into SRA3 production.
Formats and output
As an SRA3 printer, the MP C3004 prints A4, A3, A3+ and SRA3 decal sheets, with a printable area of up to 470 x 305 mm on SRA3. That covers plates and chargers, tile decoration and mural sections, glass and enamel pieces, and nested sheets of smaller decals, which is why it suits decorators producing decals every week.
Toner for the MP C3004
INEQS converts the MP C3004 to run its own ceramic toner. Unfluxed sets fire in-glaze on tile, stoneware and porcelain; fluxed sets fire onglaze and on enamel; red sets give true ceramic reds where magenta burns out. Used, but not second best
